Connect DocQ with external systems via FTP, API, web services, and pre-built integrations.
DocQ provides multiple integration pathways to connect with your existing enterprise systems. Whether you need to automate file transfers, call external APIs during workflow execution, or synchronize data with third-party platforms, DocQ offers the tools to build these connections.
DocQ supports file transfer via FTP, sFTP, and FTPS protocols. Use FTP integrations to:
FTP accounts are configured in the DocQ administration settings.
Configure DocQ to monitor a designated email inbox and automatically import email attachments as new documents. This is useful for organizations that receive documents via email and want to route them through workflows without manual upload.
The Web-Service step in workflows allows you to make HTTP calls to external services as part of the document lifecycle. You can send document data to REST APIs, trigger actions in external systems, and receive responses — all without leaving the DocQ workflow. See Step Types for configuration details.
The Plugin step provides pre-built integrations with specific third-party platforms. Plugin steps are configured within workflows and expose operations tailored to each integration partner. See Step Types for more information.
DocQ supports API tokens for programmatic access from external systems. API tokens allow external applications to authenticate and interact with DocQ resources. Tokens are managed in the Plugin settings area of the administration panel.
Info
API tokens should be treated as sensitive credentials. Store them securely and rotate them periodically according to your organization's security policies.
The following pre-built integrations are available:
| Integration | Description |
|---|---|
| SmartRecruiters | Automate hiring workflows by syncing candidate data, triggering document generation, and updating applicant statuses between DocQ and SmartRecruiters ATS. |
If your organization requires an integration that is not listed above, DocQ's Web-Service steps and API tokens provide the building blocks for custom connections. For assistance with complex integration scenarios, contact the DocQ support team at support@docq.app.
